I've never been to Northern Ireland, but, after a few pages of learning the meaning of unfamiliar words ( glossary provided) and adjusting to their syntax, I was easily able to understand and thoroughly enjoy it. There are wickedly hilarious scenes ( the confession of Siofra is my favorite) that made me laugh until my face ached. This is a fabulous respite from the suffocating political correctness that has hobbled life today."
