Some books end so quickly that you wonder where the story went, but others like Phillip Henderson's Druid's Bane have exactly the right amount of meat on their bones. Creating a sprawling fantasy world full of vividly realized kings and knights is no small feat, but to carry a story of ambition and sibling rivalry intact over so many pages is deserving of high praise. In the same vein as A Game of Thrones, this is one to be relished and savored. But don't get too comfortable, because you never know what surprises await in Arkaelyon!
