Bestselling author Tess Oliver has written a number of impressive novels, but I think Blood Tide might easily be my favorite. It's got so many amazing things all rolled up into one, mixing YA, paranormal, historical, mystery, and romance into one appealing package that's sure to get you excited. A shipwreck and a disappearance lead our heroine into a tangle of secrets that might capture her mind, body, and soul. I'd say the book is worth every penny, but for 99 cents it's worth way more!

I loved that it was set in the 1800's, loved the friendship between Trixie and Piper, that Trixie has a pet pelican with a personality, loved Trixie's grandparents, loved the story setting, the paranormal twist.
