Bargain and Free Kindle Fire Apps for 1/1

If you've got a Kindle Fire, 2012 has to be looking pretty good from here. We're finding new features and tricks for the device on a daily basis, and having a lot of fun on the way, if I do say so myself. We're not nearly alone either. This year, an estimated 12 million people will pick up the Fire, and our goal is to not only make sure those people are happy, but to add to it. Some of these games you can get for a dollar for the Fire would've cost $50 for a game system or PC just a few years ago, and Dead Space is a good example. Beautiful, exciting games like this are way Electronic Arts is one of the top game-makers out there. Be sure to give this one a chance!

I first came across this next app because someone voted for it as part of our Year-End Countdown, and I have to say I completely understand why someone would choose this. Cool space images, a fun interactive component with questions, and a free price tag press all the right buttons. Recommended!

Your job is simple. The app will display an image of a galaxy and ask you a series of questions about it. All you need to do is to look for features that mark out different types of galaxies and answer the questions as well as you can. If you find it hard to decide on the answer to a particular question, don't worry. There often won't be a correct answer. Just pick the one that seems best and move on to the next question. By looking at all the answers given for each galaxy, the Galaxy Zoo scientists will be able to work out which is most likely to be the right one. Your individual opinion is extremely important to making that possible.
