Well, no more of that. As of yesterday, Kingston released their (free) Wi-Drive App on the Amazon Appstore, making it infinitely easier for you to get the software you need to enjoy all that extra space.
A few days ago we got the tip that this was coming thanks to a press release announcing both the Kindle Fire app and a new 64 GB model of the Wi-Drive (16/32GB currently). According to them, "As more consumers adopt Kindle Fire as their mobile device for personal media consumption, we are proud to help this new segment of users store and share photos, videos, music and much more." The one glaring omission from their statement was that they didn't specifically mention the Kindle Fire Department for all of our support. *rolls eyes*
Anyway, what this all amounts to is another great reason to get this spectacular device. The Wi-Drives are small, sturdy, and get overwhelmingly glowing customer reviews. Both the 16GB and the 32GB are on sale for 60% and 50% off accordingly, making them very affordable. These are perfect for trips, perfect for moving files around in the house, and they can store a lot of movies or songs. Let's take a look at the available models, both of which look identical; it's really only the amount of memory that's different.
As you can see, you'll never in your life be able to get these things at a lower price. If you've ever wished the Fire had even a little more memory so you could take more with you on the go, this is exactly what you need, and the ability to easily download the corresponding app from Amazon is a great bonus.
